Norquist holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (BSE) from Princeton University and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from University of California, Berkeley.
Norquist brings to Veriphyr more than 20 years of management experience building businesses that provide compliance, security, and line-of-business solutions for large and medium-sized enterprises. Norquist co-founded Cambridge Technology Partners (CATP) and was instrumental in driving the company's growth and expansion into new markets.
Norquist served as vice president of marketing for Imperva (IMPV) where he launched the company into the leadership position in Web application security and database security. Previously, he held vice president of marketing roles at Trovix (acquired by Monster), Ponte Communications (acquired by Voyence/EMC), and Autonomic Networks, as well as, management positions at Sun Microsystems (acquired by Oracle).
Vastano has a PhD in nonlinear physics from the University of Texas at Austin, undergraduate degrees from Texas A&M; University, and holds 10 US patents. His first years in Silicon Valley were spent as a post-doc at Stanford University and NASA Ames Research Center.
Vastano has held executive positions in product research and development, sales and services at several successful Silicon Valley startups, including NetScaler (acquired by Citrix), Aerohive Networks (HIVE) and Ankeena (acquired by Juniper).
