Steve Katz

Steve Katz was recently an advisor to Kaiser Permanente and is widely regarded as the world's first Chief Information Security Officer. One of the preeminent figures and leading thinkers in matters of information security, Katz was previously CISO at Citibank/Citigroup, JP Morgan, and Merrill Lynch. Well known and deeply respected, Katz was appointed by the Secretary of the Treasury to be the Financial Services Sector Coordinator for Critical Infrastructure Protection.

Majed Tomeh

Majed Tomeh founded QCMetrix in 2001, which the Veterans Administration used to bring its National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (NSQIP) into the private sector with funding from AHRQ. QCMetrix information technology platform, clinical support, and analytics enabled what are now the American College of Surgeons’ NSQIP at over 1500 hospitals nationally, and the Michigan Surgical Quality Collaborative at 70 hospitals within Michigan. QCMetrix has received over $3M in NIH grants relating patient risk factors and intra-operative data to surgical morbidity and mortality outcomes and length of stay.
